Team Building & Entertainment

Team Building motivates, fosters communication and co-operation, builds confidence and focus, unifies and triggers the imagination. The Team Building Workshop facilitated by Philippe Lincy consists of utilising African drumming as a vehicle to develop the natural sense of every individual’s ability to communicate with others and transmit information. Like a heartbeat, drumming connects with something very primitive in human nature. Philippe begins the Workshop by sharing the history of African drumming and hand percussion from West Africa because the drums are traditionally used as a way of communication and expression. Participants will explore the sounds of percussion instruments from West Africa while learning to create beautiful rhythms that intersect with and compliment each other. And while true mastery of drumming takes many years, it is possible for anyone to enjoy when led by a skilled musician. Once participants discover how to create The Sound from their instrument they will begin to relax, feel their own rhythm and the rhythm of their team mates. Having mastered these skills each individual will begin to understand what it takes and how it ‘feels’ to work as a Team. Through this new way of communicating with each other they will develop a sense of the power of the Ensemble and come together as ONE.The groups’ journey will resolve in an explosion of happiness and joy! TEAM BUILDING WORKSHOPS are available for groups of 10-100 participants.
